Are we running out of clean water?

Let’s Begin…
Despite water covering 71% of the planet’s surface, more than half the world’s population endures extreme water scarcity for at least one month a year. Current estimates predict that by 2040, up to 20 more countries could be experiencing water shortages. These statistics raise a startling question: is the Earth running out of clean water? Balsher Singh Sidhu takes a closer look at water consumption.

A very informative video by TedEd. You can also access the video following this link.

The Water Cycle craft

As part of our 6th grade eTwinning project this year, called "The Fantastic Blue" which is all about water and its importance in our lives, my students watched two videos about the water cycle.
They understood the constant movement of water and how it works. Afterwards, they created a fun mobile craft representing the water cycle, an idea by Michaels.

Water never stands still but is always in constant movement, even though sometimes it doesn't seem like it.
This constant movement of water is called The Water Cycle.
