5th grade Class Captain Elections - eTwinning

As part of our eTwinning project this year, called "The ABCD project", my 5th grade students got a taste on democracy and its most powerful manifestation, elections.
They ran for Class Captain and Vice Captain. We discussed and understood the responsibilies and the duties of the positions. They prepared speeches, which they gave in front of their classmates and then they voted for the most suitable candidate.
Great experience for all of us!

eTwinning 2019-2020

eTwinning is the community for schools in Europe.

eTwinning offers a platform for staff (teachers, head teachers, librarians, etc.), working in a school in one of the European countries involved, to communicate, collaborate, develop projects, share and, in short, feel and be part of the most exciting learning community in Europe.

This school year we are running two eTwinning projects:
one with my 5th grade students
called "The ABCD project - Achievement, Belief, Culture, Democracy" and

one with my 6th grade students
called "The Fantastic Blue".

The main work of the projects is only accessible to the people involved but you can take a sneak peek at the progress of the projects through the public section following these links:
